7 Great Free Games for PlayStation 4
Shooters, fighting games and CCIs, on which it is not a pity to spend dozens of hours.
1. Fortnite Battle Royale
The legendary “battle royale”, which is played by tens of millions of people around the world. 100 participants land on a huge map, look for weapons and useful items, arrange shootouts and try to survive in a gradually narrowing territory.
A distinctive feature of Fortnite is the construction mechanics, which add tactical depth to the battles. Experienced players are able to build a whole fort around them in a matter of seconds if necessary.
Cooperative multiplayer action with a very unusual design of characters and environments. In Warframe, you need to participate in raids with other players to get new equipment and improvements for the hero.
Especially in the game, it is worth noting the plot. It is served in small grains, but those who are interested in it are waiting for an amazing and deep story about space travel and high technologies bordering on magic.
A card game from the Witcher universe. As with other CCGs, in Gwent, participants collect decks and fight each other using regular cards, unique leader characters, and spells.
The difference between the project and analogues is that the field of each player consists of two sections. Long-range and hand-to-hand cards are placed on them.
A two-dimensional fighting game, the closest analogue of which is Super Smash Bros. from Nintendo. Between two and eight players fight each other with weapons, unique abilities, and items like mines, bombs, and spike balls.
Brawlhalla has several dozen heroes and many modes. You can play both alone and with friends online or on the same screen. Arrange duels or epic four-on-four battles. There are even local analogues of American football and basketball – with bombs and blades, of course.
5. Let It Die
Stylish and incredibly complex survival-action. With its hardcore, it resembles Dark Souls: here you also need to act very precisely, because the hero dies from three or four blows.
Levels are generated procedurally, and after each death, the path has to be started anew. Or you can pay – then you will be revived right in the same place.
Paladins is most easily described as a free replacement for Overwatch. The developers deny that they were inspired by the shooter from Blizzard, but the games have too many similarities. Cartoon style, identical modes, suspiciously similar heroes (a huge knight with a shield, the personification of death with two powerful pistols, a large fighter with a hook and a cannon).
There are, of course, differences. There are much more characters in Paladins than in Overwatch, and even their abilities can be customized to your liking. And the best part is that for real money here you can buy only cosmetic items that do not affect the gameplay in any way.
7. PlanetSide 2
PlanetSide 2 is a fantastic MMO shooter. The fights here last a long time and unfold on huge maps. Many classes of fighters, types of ground and air equipment, types of weapons.
In this shooter, it is important not only to participate in local fights, but also to monitor the global distribution of forces. Your character can be customized and developed thanks to a well-thought-out system of progression. The only catch is that there is no Russian language in the game.
